Overview

The serial port is the most-used conversation window in embedded work. This station makes transmit and receive interrupt-driven, uses a ring buffer to absorb the rate difference between the two, and hands the error path of command parsing to expected — a failed parse returns carrying its reason instead of silently swallowing it.
